There are still approximately 612 SSA/VA benefit recipients in Henderson County who are eligible to file an Economic Stimulus Payment tax return. An IRS representative will be at the Library on Wednesday, September 3, from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm, to assist people in filling out their returns. The library is setting up appointments for this date. If you have not filed your income tax return and are a SSA/VA benefit recipient, call the library at 968-3239 to set up your appointment.
